For many years, Ranjan’s Trusted Care was not just a service for my parents – it was a lifeline for our family.
I have been living abroad for the last 27 years, and as their only child, one of the hardest realities of my life has been knowing that I could not be physically present with my parents in their old age. As they began to struggle with the simple things of daily life, it was Ranjan who stood by them – and by me – with a steady, quiet commitment that is rare to find.
My father (who passed away three years ago) and my mother (who passed away this year) were both in Ranjan’s care for many years, right up until their final days. In that time, he was far more than a caregiver. He was the son I could not be there in person to be. He gave them not just assistance, but dignity, companionship, and genuine warmth.
There were many occasions when my mother trusted Ranjan more than she trusted me to handle something urgent or delicate. As a son, that could have been difficult to accept – but in truth, it became one of the greatest comforts of my life. I knew she was trusting someone who had earned that place in her heart through his actions, day after day, year after year.
Ranjan never treated my parents as clients. He treated them as his own family. He stood by them during hospital visits, difficult nights, moments of fear and confusion, and also during the small, ordinary moments that brought them joy and reassurance. From far away, I could feel that presence, and it eased a guilt and helplessness that every child living away from aging parents knows too well.
Though the formal relationship with Ranjan’s Trusted Care ended with my parents’ passing, my bond with Ranjan – and my gratitude – will remain for the rest of my life. I will always be deeply and genuinely indebted to him for being there for my parents, for being the son by their side when I could not be.
My warmest wishes to you, Ranjan, and to your entire team. In loving memory of my parents, I sincerely hope that Ranjan’s Trusted Care continues to grow and reach many more elderly parents in Kolkata. May you continue bringing the same warmth, dignity, and happiness into their lives that you brought into my parents’ lives.
